Bernard Pearson

After 30 years in social care working for and with people with a learning disability. Recently Bernard (now in semi retirement) has returned his love for writing Among other projects he published Steaming Light : A Memoir of his father Commander John C Pearson OBE, RN. Based on the notes and dairies of his father, an extraordinary man, who met some extraordinary icons of the twentieth century Noel Coward, Lord Mountbatten, and Ian Fleming amongst them.
Bernard is also a published poet and prize winning short story writer. He has collaborated with a number of authors over the years in producing well received historical biographies.
In addition Bernard has tipped his toe in the world of voice overs and stand up comedy. As a performance poet he has reached the finals of both The John Tripp Spoken Word Competition and The All Wales Comic Verse Competition. Bernard has been a contributor on Radio 4’ Hardeep Singh’s Sunday Lunch and was part of a winning team on the BBC2 show Eggheads.
